Oriental Pearl TV Tower (1,550 ft.) - Pudong. It reminds me of an inverted hypodermic needle. Pudong New Area is the financial capital of China and is only 17 years old. Before 1990 is was just muddy farmland. |  |
Looking south-east down the Huangpu River. The Huangpu flows into the East China Sea. This area is known as "The Bund" meaning embankment. The Bund runs along the west bank of the Huangpu River forming the eastern boundary of old downtown Shanghai.
